Meditation is an age-old method of turning our attention inside and making the spirit aware. You might think, "That's for other people, I couldn't do that," but actually you can. It's a completely natural process, as natural as falling asleep.
One of the benefits of meditation is that we get a healthy distance from the constant fluctuations and demands of daily life. Problems don't disappear, but our perspective may change so that solutions and insights reveal themselves. Meditating puts us in touch with a part of ourselves that is calm, wise and content. If we practice it regularly, we can gradually trust our connection with that deeper part of ourselves and rely on it.
