「しかし、今、わたしたちの大祭司は、それよりはるかに優れた勤めを得ておられます。さらにまさった約束に基づいて制定された、更にまさった契約の仲介者になられたからです。、、、神は『新しいもの』といわれることによって、最初の契約は古びてしまったと宣言されたのです。年を経て古びたものは、間もなく消えうせます。」（新共同訳　ヘブル　8:６、１３）“By speaking of a new covenant, God has made the first one old; and anything that becomes old and worn out will disappear.、、、But now, Jesus has been given priestly work which is superior to theirs, just as the covenant which he arranged between God and his people is a better one, because it is based on promises of better things.” (Today’s English Version Hebrews 8:6、13 )
