In Greek mythology, Hectōr (Ἔ¦Ê¦Ó¦Ø¦Ñ, "holding fast"[1]), or Hektōr, is a Trojan prince and one of the greatest fighters in the Trojan War. He is the son of Priam and Hecuba, descendant of Dardanus, ancient king of the Dardanians, who lived under Mount Ida, and of Tros, the founder of Troy.[2] He acts as leader of the Trojans and their allies in the defense of Troy. He was known not only for his courage but also for his noble nature.
