If you listen to this piece in a conventional way of focussing on the direct tones of the piano, you would miss something important. With this piece, Dalibert introduced me to a new way of listening to piano music in which the harmonic overtones are blended carefully to form the music with the composer's perfect control, instead of letting us focus on the transition of the direct piano tones dominating how the music develops.
