たしか、ポール・マッカートニーの衝撃の【テクノポップサウンド】のシングル『Coming up』を含む、中三の夏に買ったアルバム『McCartney II』に収録されていた弾き語りのバラードナンバー『One Of These Days』。
かすかな記憶によれば、ポール・マッカートニーは、このアルバムを出してからすぐに日本に来たんだけど、大麻持ってて逮捕されたんじゃなかったかなぁ。
実は、このアルバムの英語詞はほとんど暗記してるよん。このアルバムの収録曲は、日本での発売を意識したのか、中学生レベルの簡単な単語ばかりだったからね。
今でも、朝起きたばかりに、それなりに大声で、『one of these days』を歌っちゃったりするもん。それくらい聞き込んだ一枚。
詞の内容は、言葉はわかりやすいけど、だからナニ？…と思わず突っ込みたくなるような抽象的な感じ。
でも、

なんて、いいでしょ？
これを歌いながら、薄暗いうちから犬と散歩できたら最高でしょう！
